Guess you can say Wes Anderson's new movie has gone to the dogs.

Check out the very first trailer for "Isle of Dogs," Anderson's new stop-motion comedy set in a dystopian future where Japan has outlawed all dogs, banishing them to a remote island filled with trash as a quick and heartless solution to "canine overpopulation" and "dog flu."

Featuring a stellar voice cast led by Edward Norton, Bryan Cranston, Bill Murray, and Jeff Goldblum as a pack of discarded canines, the animated film tells a fable-like adventure story of a 12-year-old Japanese boy who travels to the forbidden island in search for his lost dog.

Additionally, the voice cast also features Bob Balaban, Scarlett Johansson, Tilda Swinton, Frances McDormand, Harvey Keitel, Greta Gerwig, F. Murray Abraham, Liev Schreiber, Frank Wood, Fisher Stevens, Courtney B. Vance with Yoko Ono and Ken Watanabe

"Isle of Dogs" is slated to hit theaters on March 23, 2018.

synopsis:
ISLE OF DOGS tells the story of ATARI KOBAYASHI, 12-year-old ward to corrupt Mayor Kobayashi. When, by Executive Decree, all the canine pets of Megasaki City are exiled to a vast garbage-dump called Trash Island, Atari sets off alone in a miniature Junior-Turbo Prop and flies across the river in search of his bodyguard-dog, Spots. There, with the assistance of a pack of newly-found mongrel friends, he begins an epic journey that will decide the fate and future of the entire Prefecture.
