Adam Sandler and Ben Stiller star as feuding half-brothers while Oscar-winners Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson play their eccentric bohemian parents in the new dysfunctional family comedy from acclaimed filmmaker Noah Baumbach (The Squid and the Whale, Greenberg, While We're Young).

Hailed as one of the breakout hits at this year's Cannes Film Festival -- with critics praising Sandler's performance as Oscar-worthy, Noah Baumbach's "The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected)" is a darkly comic portrait of an idiosyncratic and neurotic New York Jewish family who, despite underlying friction, have pretty much remained close. Though there are times where they are at each other's throats.

Co-starring Elizabeth Marvel (Fargo, House of Cards) as Sandler and Stiller's quirky sister and Grace Van Patten (Tramps) as Sandler's teenage daughter, the film will be released both in select theaters and on Netflix beginning October 13th.

synopsis:
From writer/director Noah Baumbach, The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected) is the emotional, and comic intergenerational tale of adult siblings (Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, and Elizabeth Marvel) contending with the long shadow their strong-willed father (Dustin Hoffman) has cast over their lives.
