Get an inside look at FOX and Marvel's new television series set in the "X-Men" universe, "The Gifted," starring Stephen Moyer and Amy Acker as parents who are forced to hide their superpowered mutant children from a hateful government.
Creators Matt Nix (Burn Notice) and Bryan Singer (X-Men) discuss the show's basic setup in a new featurette, which also highlights the cast of fugitive mutant characters that include Thunderbird (Blair Redford), Blink (Jamie Chung), Eclipse (Sean Teale), and Polaris (Emma Dumont).
"We want to put the audience on the ground with the mutants. There are no superhero suits. There's no 'X' Jet ... no one is coming to the rescue," says Singer, who is not only serving as one of the executive producers on the show but also directs the pilot episode.
Also executive produced by Lauren Shuler Donner alongside Marvel's head of television Jeph Loeb, "The Gifted" is scheduled to premiere on Monday, October 2nd on FOX.
