Though he's been praised for his memorable portrayal of God in the "Bruce and Evan Almighty" comedies, Morgan Freeman is now getting a chance to show off his devilish charm in his latest film "Just Getting Started."

Freeman is seen playing a freewheeling ladies man living it up in a luxury retirement community in the trailer for the lighthearted senior-citizen comedy, which also stars fellow Oscar-winner Tommy Lee Jones as a retired military man who quickly becomes Freeman's rival after moving to the same retirement resort.

The movie is written and directed by 72-year-old filmmaker Ron Shelton, who is best known for the acclaimed sports films "Bull Durham," "White Men Can't Jump," and "Tin Cup."

In addition to Freeman and Lee Jones, the cast also includes Rene Russo, Joe Pantoliano, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Graham Beckel, comedian George Wallace, and the late Glenne Headly (who sadly passed away back in June at 62).

"Just Getting Started" opens in theaters on December 8th.

synopsis:

But the status quo is challenged when ex-military charmer LEO (Tommy Lee Jones) checks in, triggering a competition between Duke and Leo for the top spot of Alpha male, as well as for the affections of the newly-arrived SUZIE (Rene Russo). When Duke’s past suddenly catches up with him, the rivals put aside their differences and the two men reluctantly team up to stop whoever is trying to kill Duke, and also save the Villa Capri.
