"Replicants are the future." But the key to their future, apparently, lies in the hands of ex-LAPD detective Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford).

And from the looks of a new extended "Blade Runner 2049" spot, Deckard doesn't look too thrilled about holding the key as it seems to be the reason why he chose to go into hiding 30 years ago.

In this hotly-awaited sequel to the 1982 science-fiction classic, Ryan Gosling stars as a LAPD officer who is given 48 hours to solve a situation and prevent a war from happening. Of course, his quest involves getting in touch with former blade runner Rick Deckard who is not only been missing for three decades but is being hunted down by a mysterious organization.

Directed by Denis Villeneuve (Arrival) and executive produced by Ridley Scott, "Blade Runner 2049" also stars Robin Wright, Jared Leto, Dave Bautista, Ana De Armas, and Sylvia Hoeks. The film hits theaters October 6th.
