In a new revealing featurette, horror maestro Stephen King offers his full endorsement of the upcoming "IT" movie, which is based on his immensely popular 1980s horror novel.
"I had hopes. But I was not prepared for how good it really was," says an enthusiastic King. "I'm sure my fans will REALLY enjoy the movie."
Directed by horror filmmaker Andres Muschietti (Mama), the supernatural thriller follows a group of young misfit kids as they band together to fight off an evil demon clown named Pennywise, who, for decades, has been terrorizing their small town of Derry, Maine.
The cast of children includes Jaeden Lieberher (Midnight Special), Finn Wolfhard (Netflix's Stranger Things), Sophia Lillis, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Wyatt Oleff (Guardians of the Galaxy), Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazer and Nicholas Hamilton (Captain Fantastic).
Meanwhile, Bill Skarsgard, star of Netflix's short-lived horror series "Hemlock Grove," takes on the iconic horror role of Pennywise the Clown.
"IT" is coming to theaters next week, September 8th.
