Nicolas Cage plays a police detective-turned-vigilante in the trailer for the action thriller "Vengeance: A Love Story."

When a single mother is brutally assaulted by a gang of scumbags, a hard-boiled detective (Cage) convinces the victim's young daughter to testify in the trial. But when the criminals are found innocent, the victimized mother and daughter find themselves barraged by death threats. Fed up with how the women are being treated, the detective decides to take the law into his own hands by administering a deadly dose of street justice.

Don Johnson co-stars as a crooked criminal defense lawyer, while the rest of the cast includes Anna Hutchison, Talitha Bateman, Deborah Kara Unger, Joshua Mikel, and Joe Ochterbeck.

Directed by veteran stunt coordinator Johnny Martin, "Vengeance: A Love Story" will be released on September 15th.

synopsis:
On the Fourth of July, single mother Teena is brutally assaulted by a local gang in front of her 12-year-old daughter Bethie. Even though Bethie is able to identify the attackers, the defense hires a local hot-shot defense attorney who manipulates the law to their advantage. When the criminals are set free, Gulf War veteran and detective John Dromoor (Nicolas Cage) is dismayed by the lack of justice and plots revenge against the men on Teena's behalf.
