"Transformers" star Josh Duhamel plays a charismatic television host of a new, twisted reality program in the trailer for "The Show."

"Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul" actor Giancarlo Esposito pulls double duty, directing and co-starring as a down-on-his-luck reality show contestant in this reality-TV-themed thriller, which follows a television host (played by Duhamel) who, after being deemed a "national hero" during a televised shooting attack, is given the chance to launch a new, extreme reality show where hard-luck contestants are given money to kill themselves live on-air.

The cast also includes Famke Janssen (X-Men), Sarah Wayne Callies (The Walking Dead), and Caitlin FitzGerald (Masters of Sex) with a special appearance by James Franco as a morning show TV reporter.

"The Show" (which was formerly titled "This Is Your Death") will arrive in select theaters and on VOD beginning September 15th.

synopsis:
After a dating show ends in violence, its host Adam Rogers (Duhamel) and a ratings-hungry network exec launch a terrifying new program that promises fresh kills every week. The tension mounts as a kindhearted janitor joins the deadly program, hoping to help his struggling family survive ... at any cost.
