Recent Emmy-nominee Pamela Adlon will return next month for another season of her critically acclaimed semi-fictional series "Better Things," and the trailer for Season 2 has just been released.

Adlon, who co-created, co-writes, and co-executive produces the show with comedian Louis C.K., plays a fictionalized version of herself, named "Sam Fox," a working actress and single mother to three young, tempestuous daughters. The comedy-drama follows Sam as she tries to juggle her demanding Hollywood career with the demands of motherhood.

Back in 2002, Adlon won an Emmy award for her voice performance as Bobby Hill on Mike Judge's long-running animated series "King of the Hill." She has since earned a couple of nominations for co-writing and guest starring on Louis C.K.'s acclaimed FX series "Louie." Adlon also just received her first Best Lead Actress Emmy nomination for her work on Season 1 of "Better Things."

Co-starring Hannah Alligood, Mikey Madison, and Olivia Edward as Adlon's onscreen children with British actress Celia Imrie as Adlon's eccentric English mother, "Better Things: Season 2" is currently scheduled to premiere Thursday, September 14th.
