added: Mon, Aug 7th '17

Actress Frankie Shaw (from "Mr. Robot" and "Good Girls Revolt") has taken her 2015 Sundance-winning short film and developed it into a new slice-of-life dramedy series for Showtime.

Check out the first trailer for "SMILF," Shaw's semi-biographical series, in which she plays a young single mother from South Boston who finds herself struggling to balance the demands of motherhood with her carnal urges for male companionship.

Co-starring Rosie O'Donnell as Shaw's mother, "SMILF" will run for ten episodes and is currently set to premiere Sunday, November 5th on Showtime.

From Frankie Shaw, SMILF takes a raw and honest comedic look at a single, 20-something from Southie whose desires for relationships, sex, and a career collide with the realities of young, single motherhood.
