No, your eyes are not deceiving you. That's two James Francos in this new official trailer for "The Deuce." And yes, Franco is getting the chance to share the screen with himself, playing twin brothers in the new HBO series from David Simon, the award-winning creator of "The Wire."

The drama, which also stars Maggie Gyllenhaal, will be sending TV viewers back in time to the 1970s when New York City (particularly Time Square) was the epicenter of prostitution, illegal gambling, and city corruption. And everybody was hustling for money, including the cops.

Told from multiple characters' perspectives, "The Deuce" is primarily about the rise of the porn industry in 1970s New York. Here, Franco plays Vincent and Frankie Martino, a couple of New York hustlers trying to run a local bar, while also trying to pay off their debts to a mob-connected loan shark. Meanwhile, Gyllenhaal plays a hard-living New Yorker named Candy, who sets out to change careers from sex worker to adult film entertainer.

Co-created by acclaimed crime novelist and "The Wire" and "Treme" writer George Pelecanos, "The Deuce" boasts an impressive ensemble cast that includes David Krumholtz, Zoe Kazan, Lawrence Gilliard Jr., Chris Bauer, Michael Rispoli, Emily Meade, Margarita Levieva, Jamie Neumann, and James McDaniel.

"The Deuce" is due to premiere Sunday, September 10th.

The Deuce follows the story of the legalization and subsequent rise of the porn industry in New York's Times Square from the early 1970s through the mid-1980s, exploring the rough-and-tumble world at the pioneering moments of what would become the billion-dollar American sex industry.
