It's basically "Twilight" -- but instead of vampires, you've got "fallen" angels.

Check out the trailer for "Fallen," the upcoming movie adaptation of Lauren Kate's best-selling YA book series about a young emotionally vulnerable woman who embarks on a forbidden love affair with her guardian angel while attending a mysterious reform school.

Addison Timlin (Little Sister, That Awkward Moment) and Jeremy Irvine (War Horse, Stonewall) play the star-crossed lovers, while the supporting cast includes the likes of Joely Richardson (Vampire Academy), Lola Kirke (Mozart in the Jungle), Harrison Gilbertson (Hounds of Love), and Sianoa Smit-McPhee (Hung).

Directed by Australian filmmaker Scott Hicks (whose directing credits include "The Lucky One," "Hearts in Atlantis," "Snow Falling on Cedars," and "Shine"), "Fallen" will be released in theaters on September 8th, but will first be available digitally on Tuesday, August 8th.

synopsis:
A young girl finds herself in a reform school after therapy since she was blamed for the death of a young boy. At the school she finds herself drawn to a fellow student, unaware that he is an angel, and has loved her for thousands of years.
