Bruce Willis hunts down murderous criminals as he takes on the role of family man-turned-vigilante Paul Kersey in the trailer for the upcoming remake "Death Wish."

Directed by horror filmmaker Eli Roth (Hostel), the film is a modern-day remake of the 1970s and '80s movie franchise, which was originally and famously starred over-the-hill action star Charles Bronson.

Based on Brian Garfield's 1972 novel of the same name -- and this time, adapted for the screen by Roth and filmmaker Joe Carnahan (The Grey), the new "Death Wish" movie takes place in Chicago (instead of New York City) and follows beloved family man Paul Kersey (played by Willis) as he sets out to exact revenge against the scumbags who murdered his wife (Elisabeth Shue) during a horrific home-invasion robbery.

Co-starring Vincent D'Onofrio, Dean Norris, Kimberly Elise, Mike Epps, Camila Morrone, and Beau Knapp, "Death Wish" will open theatrically on March 2, 2018.

synopsis:
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures presents director Eli Roth's reimagining of the classic 1974 revenge thriller DEATH WISH. Dr. Paul Kersey (Bruce Willis) is a surgeon who only sees the aftermath of Chicago violence when it is rushed into his ER -- until his wife (Elisabeth Shue) and college-age daughter (Camila Morrone) are viciously attacked in their suburban home. With the police overloaded with crimes, Paul, burning for revenge, hunts his family's assailants to deliver justice. As the anonymous slayings of criminals grabs the media's attention, the city wonders if this deadly vigilante is a guardian angel or a grim reaper. Fury and fate collide in the intense, action-thriller DEATH WISH.
