Soon after the fall of notorious drug kingpin Pablo Escobar, came the rise of a new Colombian drug empire: The Cali Cartel. And in the 90s, at the height of their power, these guys dominated nearly 90 percent of the world's cocaine business.

"People want to see the Godfathers in handcuffs then that's what they're going to get," promises "Narcos" star Pedro Pascal in the new official Season 3 trailer for Netflix's critically acclaimed crime series.

The new season, which is bringing back DEA agent Javier Pena (Pascal) as he gets the chance to lead his own team of undercover agents, appears to be an epic new chapter that will transport viewers to the early '90s while chronicling the brutal and murderous reign of the Cali Cartel.

Co-starring Kerry Bishe, Damian Alcazar, Michael Stahl-David, Matt Whelan, Andrea Londo, and Raymond Ablack, "Narcos: Season 3" is due to premiere on Netflix beginning Friday, September 1st.
