Hong Kong megastar Andy Lau plays a notorious master thief in the new U.S. trailer for the Chinese action heist movie "The Adventurers," which also stars Shu Qi (The Assassin), Zhang Jingchu (Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation), and Yo Yang (The Crossing), with renowned French star Jean Reno (Leon: The Professional) as a hard-boiled French detective.

From Hong Kong action filmmaker Stephen Fung (Tai Chi 0, AMC's Into the Badlands), "The Adventurers" follows a professional team of Chinese thieves as they try to pull off a high-stakes jewel heist during the Cannes Film Festival.

The film will be released in U.S. theaters later this month on August 18th (via Well Go USA Entertainment).

In this slick, high-stakes action-adventure, the world's top thieves – the infamous and charismatic Cheung (Andy Lau), his former partner in crime, Xiao (Tony Yang), and beautiful chameleon Ye (Shu Qi) - join forces to pull off the heist of a lifetime. But when they find themselves pursued across Europe by a legendary French detective (Jean Reno), they’ll have to take their game to the next level.
