The Canadian murder-mystery series "Bellevue," starring True Blood's Anna Paquin as a small-town detective, will be coming to the States in early 2018 on the WGN America network.

Created by Canadian TV producers/writers Jane Maggs (Madiba) and Adrienne Mitchell (Bomb Girls), the eight-episode thriller is set in the small mining town of Bellevue, Alberta, Canada. And it follows Annie Ryder (Paquin), a police investigator trying to crack a missing-person case that involves the strange disappearance of a bullied transgender teen. After further investigation, she believes the disappearance may be connected to an old unsolved murder case that has been haunting her since childhood.

Co-starring Shawn Doyle (FX's "Fargo") and former "Downton Abbey" actor Allen Leech, "Bellevue" originally aired in Canada back in February but will make its US debut in early 2018 on WGN America. Watch the newly-released U.S. trailer, above.
