Children can sometimes have a false sense of security. So, it's necessary for children to understand that no child is entirely safe from harm -- especially the children in a Stephen King horror story.

Check out a brand-new trailer for "IT," the highly-anticipated big-screen adaptation of King's classic horror novel about a group of misfit children who band together when they discover their town has a long, dark history of unsolved murders which were committed by a sinister clown demon named Pennywise (played by Atomic Blonde's Bill Skarsgard).

Starring Jaeden Lieberher (Midnight Special), Finn Wolfhard (Netflix's Stranger Things), Sophia Lillis (37), Wyatt Oleff (Guardians of the Galaxy), Chosen Jacobs (TV's Hawaii Five-0), Nicholas Hamilton (The Dark Tower), Jeremy Ray Taylor (Geostorm), and Jack Dylan Grazer (Scales: Mermaids Are Real), the film hails from Argentine horror director Andres Muschietti, of "Mama" fame.

"IT" arrives in theaters September 8th.
