So, how do you defeat the goddess of death? Well, first, you must go on a journey of self-discovery. And once that's done, you immediately put together a team that may or may not include your evil brother, Loki.

Thor (Chris Hemsworth) fights to regain control of his celestial home from the evil and powerful goddess Hela (Cate Blanchett) in the new full-length trailer for the highly-anticipated Marvel sequel "Thor: Ragnarok."

It seems in order to stop Hela from destroying ... well, everything, Thor must enlist the help of a new friend, Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) and an old green friend, a now-talking Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), and, of course, an old brotherly foe, Loki (Tom Hiddleston). The question is, does the mighty God of Thunder need his hammer to still be a heroic warrior or is the battle already lost?

Directed by New Zealand-born comedian/filmmaker Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows), "Thor: Ragnarok" also stars Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster and Karl Urban as Asgardian villain Skurge. Idris Elba and Anthony Hopkins will also appear in the film, which is set to hit theaters on November 3rd.

Imprisoned on the other side of the universe, the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth) finds himself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), his former ally and fellow Avenger. Thor's quest for survival leads him in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela (Cate Blanchett) from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilization.
