If the universe is in trouble, you call the Guardians of the Galaxy. And if the world is in trouble, you call The Avengers.

But what do you do when New York is in trouble? Well, you call these guys! The question is, can these street-level heroes work together as one unified team after working as solo acts for so long?

Check out the newly-released Comic-Con trailer for the highly-anticipated superhero team-up miniseries "Marvel's The Defenders," which finally brings together Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) for a new epic mission to save New York City from a powerful and mysterious new villain (played by Sigourney Weaver).

The series, which will only run for eight episodes, will also feature the appearances of Daredevil's ex-girlfriend/newly-resurrected assassin Elektra (Elodie Yung), badass nurse Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson), Daredevil's former instructor Stick (Scott Glenn), Iron Fist's partner-in-arms Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick), and Jessica Jones's loyal best-friend Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor), as well as Daredevil's law associates Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll).

Other cameos, at least on the evil side, include Madame Gao (Wai Ching Ho) and Bakuto (Ramon Rodriguez).

Executive produced by "Daredevil" producers Marco Ramirez and Douglas Petrie, "The Defenders" is set to premiere globally on Friday, August 18th, only on Netflix.
