Check out the trailer for "Lemon," a darkly comic character study from filmmaker Janicza Bravo, from a screenplay co-written by her and her husband, comic actor Brett Gelman who also stars as a 40-year-old sad sack going through an existential crisis.

The quirky, stylized comedy, which made a strong impression at this year's Sundance Film Festival, features a top-notch supporting cast that consists of mostly Bravo and Gelman's actor friends and colleagues: Michael Cera, Judy Greer, Nia Long, Gillian Jacobs, Shiri Appleby, Megan Mullally, Jeff Garlin, Rhea Perlman, Martin Starr, Rex Lee, and Fred Melamed.

"Lemon" is the feature directing debut of Janicza Bravo, who up until now has worked as a photographer for Vice Magazine and as a wardrobe stylist for music videos, commercials, and theater. She also directed a series of short films, including 2013's Sundance-winning comedy "Gregory Goes Boom," which starred Michael Cera and her then-boyfriend Brett Gelman.

"Lemon" is hitting theaters and VOD on August 18th.
