National Geographic (NatGeo), the cable network behind the hit Albert Einstein biographical drama "Genius," has released a first-look trailer for their next original limited series "The Long Road Home," which features a strong ensemble cast led by Emmy-nominated "House of Cards" actor Michael Kelly, Kate Bosworth, Jason Ritter, and Jeremy Sisto.

Based on the investigative book of the same name by ABC war reporter Martha Raddatz, the eight-part miniseries chronicles the events surrounding a harrowing 48-hour military battle in Baghdad (dubbed "Black Sunday"), which took placed during one of the deadliest periods of the Iraq War.

Executive produced and developed for television by screenwriter Mikko Alanne (The 33, 5 Days of War), "The Long Road Home" also stars Walking Dead's Sarah Wayne Callies, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Noel Fisher.

Emmy-winning directors Phil Abraham (Mad Men) and Mikael Salomon (Band of Brothers) are directing, as well as executive producing the NatGeo series, which is set to premiere in the fall.

Based on Martha Raddatz's bestseller, "The Long Road Home" chronicles the events of April 4th, 2004, when a platoon was ambushed in Sadr City, Baghdad, in an attack that came to be known as "Black Sunday."
