Aubrey Plaza is an emotionally unhinged, social-media-obsessed woman who worms her way into the inner circle of a prominent online "influencer" (played by Elizabeth Olsen) in the new full-length trailer for the darkly comic satire "Ingrid Goes West."

Director/co-writer Matt Spicer makes his feature film debut with this Los Angeles-set comedy, which appears to take swipes at the Instagram generation.

Co-starring Straight Outta Compton's O'Shea Jackson Jr., 22 Jump Street's Wyatt Russell, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2's Pom Klementieff and The People v. O. J. Simpson's Billy Magnussen, "Ingrid Goes West" earned mostly positive reviews when it premiered at this year's Sundance Film Festival, where it ended up scoring the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award for Spicer and co-writer David Branson Smith.

The film is now slated for an August 11th theatrical release.

Following the death of her mother and a series of self-inflicted setbacks, young Ingrid Thorburn (Aubrey Plaza) escapes a humdrum existence by moving out West to befriend her instagram obsession and LA socialite Taylor Sloane (Elizabeth Olsen). After a quick bond is forged between these unlikeliest of friends, the fa├žade begins to crack in both women's lives -- with comically malicious results.
