Lake Bell explores the intricacies of three imperfect marriages with the upcoming comedy "I Do...Until I Don't." It's her second feature film as a writer and director, following 2013's acclaimed voice-over artist comedy "In a World..."

Bell also stars opposite Ed Helms as a married couple struggling with intimacy issues while Mary Steenburgen and Paul Reiser play an older couple on the verge of complete marital collapse. Wyatt Cenac and Amber Heard co-star as the third couple in the film whose relationship is still in the experimental phase.

British comedienne Dolly Wells (star of the HBO series "Doll & Em") rounds out the cast as a documentary filmmaker who's trying to prove her theory that "marriage is dead." So, she interviews the three couples for a new documentary film, but later decides to fabricate some "chaos" just to make things more interesting.

"I Do...Until I Don't" is hitting theaters on September 1st. Watch the newly-released trailer, above.
