"Star Trek" star John Cho develops a special friendship with Haley Lu Richardson (from "Split" and "The Edge of Seventeen") in the trailer for "Columbus," a Yasujiro Ozu and Ingmar Bergman-inspired film, which marks the cinematic debut of a Korean-American filmmaker and video essayist, who simply goes by the name, Kogonada.

The leisurely-paced, small-town drama, which premiered to rave reviews at this year's Sundance Film Festival, centers on a man (Cho) who has traveled to Columbus, Indiana to look after his architect father who has just fallen into a coma. While in town, he strikes up a friendly relationship -- and later a meaningful bond -- with a young architecture enthusiast (Richardson), who is far wiser than her years.

Co-starring Parkey Posey, Rory Culkin, and Michelle Forbes, "Columbus" will open in theaters on August 4th.
