Jessica Williams, the former correspondent on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show," is about to break out in her new starring role as a single aspiring playwright in the upcoming New York-set rom-com "The Incredible Jessica James." Check out the film's teaser trailer, which was picked up by Netflix during its premiere screenings at Sundance.

After working with Williams on his previous comedy "People Places Things," writer-director Jim Strouse kept Jessica in mind as he wrote his latest film, which features an "Incredible" leading lady character that's filled with charisma, charm, and humor.

Here, Jessica stars as a frustrated 25-year-old playwright who indulges her love of theater by helping out a group of school kids write and stage scenes. With the aide of her best friend, Jessica reluctantly agrees to go out on a blind date with an app designer named Boone (played by Chris O'Dowd), where despite their differences they eventually find out that they are a perfect match.

"The Incredible Jessica James" also co-stars Lakeith Stanfield, Noel Wells, Susan Heyward, Megan Ketch, Taliyah Whitaker, Zabryna Guevara, and Sarah Jones. Look for the movie to start streaming on July 28th on Netflix.
