"Whiplash" star Miles Teller plays a PTSD-afflicted soldier in the newly-released trailer for "Thank You For Your Service," a coming-home drama from Jason Hall, the Oscar-nominated screenwriter of "American Sniper."

Hall makes his directorial debut with "Thank You," which casts Teller as a stoic Iraq war veteran who finds himself struggling to adjust to civilian life as a father and husband after returning home from war.

Based on the best-selling book by Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter and author David Finkel, the drama also stars Haley Bennett (from "The Magnificent Seven" and "The Girl on the Train") as Teller's wife while Joe Cole (from "Peaky Blinders" and "Green Room") and Beulah Koale (star of the New Zealand drama "The Last Saint") play Teller's brothers-in-arms, who are also haunted by their lingering memories of war.

Co-starring Scott Haze and Keisha Castle-Hughes, "Thank You For Your Service" arrives in theaters on October 27th.
