Netflix has released the official trailer for "Nobody Speak: Trials of the Free Press," a new documentary that digs into the current state of American journalism by examining the behind-the-scenes details of 2016's highly publicized sex tape trial between '80s/'90s wrestling star Hulk Hogan and online tabloid news site Gawker Media.

Documentarian Brian Knappenberger whose film credits include "The Internet's Own Boy: The Story of Aaron Swartz" and "We Are Legion: The Story of the Hacktivists" directs "Nobody Speak," which earned strong reviews this year at both the Sundance Film Festival and South by Southwest.

The documentary is slated for a June 23rd release on Netflix.

Journalists are trained to look for stories behind the stories. The reporters investigating the Hulk Hogan sex tape and the sale of the Las Vegas Journal-Review, however, found something unprecedented: billionaires covertly using their fortunes to silence the media. Nobody Speak explores what Peter Thiel’s financial support of the lawsuit against Gawker and Sheldon Adelson's shadowy purchase of Nevada's largest newspaper mean for future of journalism, the First Amendment, and the power of the ultra wealthy.
