Here's the first trailer for "Goodbye Christopher Robin," a biopic about the life of beloved British children's author A.A. Milne, as portrayed by Domhnall Gleeson (Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Ex Machina).

The 1920s-set film -- which also features Margot Robbie (Suicide Squad) as Milne's wife -- centers on the poignant relationship between the writer and his young son, Christopher Robin, whose teddy bear was the inspiration for Milne's iconic creation, Winnie the Pooh.

Simon Curtis, the director of "Woman in Gold" and "My Week with Marilyn," helms from a script written by Frank Cottrell-Boyce (Millions) and Simon Vaughan (War And Peace).

Kelly Macdonald (Boardwalk Empire) co-stars as the family's nanny in the upcoming drama, which is slated to bow in the U.K. on September 29th before arriving in U.S. theaters on October 13th.

GOODBYE CHRISTOPHER ROBIN gives a rare glimpse into the relationship between beloved children's author A. A. Milne (Domhnall Gleeson) and his son Christopher Robin, whose toys inspired the magical world of Winnie the Pooh. Along with his mother Daphne (Margot Robbie), and his nanny Olive (Kelly Macdonald), Christopher Robin and his family are swept up in the international success of the books; the enchanting tales bringing hope and comfort to England after the First World War. But with the eyes of the world on Christopher Robin, what will the cost be to the family?
