Whitney Houston's incredible singing talent and her tragic fall from grace are at the center of a new emotionally-charged Showtime documentary, called "Whitney: Can I Be Me."

Exploring the many facets of the legendary Grammy winner's tumultuous life, the film is told through rarely seen home videos, archival behind-the-scenes footage and exclusive interviews with some of her closest associates and collaborators.

Directed by prolific English documentarian Nick Broomfield (Tales of the Grim Sleeper, Aileen Wuornos: The Selling of a Serial Killer) and veteran music biographer/documentarian Rudi Dolezal (Freddie Mercury, the Untold Story), "Whitney: Can I Be Me" premiered to strong reviews back in April at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival.

The doc will screen in a couple of other film festivals this month before making its broadcast debut on Showtime on Saturday, August 26th. In the meantime, you can check out the newly-released trailer, above.
