Marvel has just released the very first trailer for "Black Panther," the highly anticipated superhero movie that has Chadwick Boseman reprising his role as African ruler T'Challa, who perhaps is better known as his alter ego, the eponymous masked crimefighter who moves and fights with the speed and strength of a majestic wildcat.

The forthcoming Marvel film, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Ryan Coogler, of "Fruitvale Station" and "Creed" fame, also stars Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong'o, The Walking Dead's Danai Gurira, Get Out's Daniel Kaluuya, Emmy-winner Sterling K. Brown, with appearances by Oscar-winner Forest Whitaker, Angela Bassett, Martin Freeman (as Everett K. Ross) and Andy Serkis (as Ulysses Klaw).

Meanwhile, "Fruitvale Station" and "Creed" star Michael B. Jordan is taking on the role of the film's main villain, Erik Killmonger.

Following the events of "Captain America: Civil War," the film finds Black Panther (Boseman) returning to his home country of Wakanda as he fulfills his royal duties to protect his nation from outside threats.

"Black Panther" will be hitting theaters on February 16, 2018.
