Security — Trailer

For his latest film role, Antonio Banderas plays a down-on-his-luck mall cop, but he ain't no Paul Blart, that's for sure.

In the newly released trailer for "Security," a shopping mall-set thriller that also stars Ben Kingsley, Banderas once again tackles the shoot-em-up action genre, playing an ex-military officer-turned-security guard.

While working the night shift at a local shopping center, Banderas finds himself coming to the aid of a young scared runaway girl, who's actively being pursued by a group of hired assassins, led by a ruthless madman (Kingsley). Now, Banderas and his inexperienced co-workers (played by Liam McIntyre, Chad Lindberg, Jiro Wang and Gabriella Wright) are the only things that stand between the girl and the killers -- like the tagline says, "it's going to be a long night."

Directed by Canadian action helmer Alain Desrochers (Bon Cop Bad Cop 2, Nitro Rush), "Security" doesn't have an official U.S. release date, as of yet, but will be released in the U.K. on July 3rd.

An ex-special services veteran (Antonio Banderas), down on his luck and desperate for work, takes a job as a security guard at a run-down mall in a rough area of town. On his first night on the job, he opens the doors up to a distraught and desperate young girl who has escaped and fled from a hijacking of the Police motorcade that was transporting her to testify as a trial witness in a briefcase. Hot on her heels is psychopathic hijacker (Ben Kingsley), alongside his resourceful henchmen, who will stop at nothing to extract and eliminate their witness.
