Paul Bettany (aka Vision from the Avengers) sports a scraggly beard and a dark disposition as he tackles the role of notorious domestic terrorist Ted Kaczynski in the first trailer for Discovery's eight-part limited series "Manhunt: Unabomber."

Told from the perspective of FBI profiler Jim "Fitz" Fitzgerald (portrayed by "Hacksaw Ridge" and "Avatar" actor Sam Worthington), the cable series chronicles the bureau's investigation that led to Kaczynski's arrest in 1996 at his remote cabin in Montana, which was filled with bomb-making material and incriminating journals.

The cast also includes Chris Noth (The Good Wife) as FBI supervisor Don Ackerman; Jane Lynch (Glee) as U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno, and Mark Duplass (The League) as Ted Kaczynski's brother, David, who played a key role in the capture. Keisha Castle-Hughes (Game of Thrones) and Brian d'Arcy James (Spotlight) also co-star.

Emmy-winning TV director and producer Greg Yaitanes (House, Quarry, Banshee) is directing all eight episodes of "Manhunt: Unabomber," which is due to premiere Tuesday, August 1st on the Discovery network.
