AMC's Preacher: Season 2 — Official Trailer

added: Thu, Jun 1st '17

AMC has unveiled the new full-length trailer for Season 2 of the darkly comic supernatural series "Preacher," starring Dominic Cooper, Ruth Negga, and Joseph Gilgun.

Executive produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg alongside "Breaking Bad" producer-writer Sam Catlin, the cable drama finds dissenting Texan preacher Jesse Custer hitting the road with his ex-assassin girlfriend, Tulip (Negga), and his drug-addicted vampire sidekick Cassidy (Gilgun). When Custer is possessed by a supernatural deity, granting him the power to manipulate people's wills, he and his buddies Tulip and Cassidy agree to drive across America to find God. During the journey, they find themselves being relentlessly pursued by a gun-slinging, "Terminator"-like bounty hunter, known as "The Saint of Killers" (played by Scottish actor Graham McTavish).

Based on the cult 1990s graphic novel series by comic book writer Garth Ennis and artist Steve Dillon, "Season 2" is said to be closer to the source material -- as opposed to Season 1, which kinda served as the small-screen prequel to the comic books.

"Preacher" returns with its Second Season beginning Sunday, June 25th on AMC.

When Texas preacher Jesse Custer is inhabited by the renegade spawn of an angel and a demon, he gains the power to control people with just a word. Now Jesse, his badass ex Tulip, and his friend Cassidy (who happens to be a vampire) are thrust into a twisted battle spanning Heaven, Hell and everywhere in between.
