Showtime's The Putin Interviews — Trailer

"I think you are a cunning person," Russian President Vladimir Putin says to filmmaker Oliver Stone in a new full trailer for "The Putin Interviews," which is a four-night documentary special that will air this month on Showtime.

Stone is one of the few Americans to have been granted permission to speak and interview the controversial Russian leader, especially during a time when U.S. and Russia's relationship has never been more strained and strangely dubious, maybe since the days of the Cold War.

Stone, who directed last year's Edward Snowden biopic, appears to have discussed a variety of topics with Putin, ranging from Russian hacking, government leaks to the obvious question: "People say Trump is in the Kremlin's pocket?"

"The Putin Interviews" will also examine Putin's political and KGB history, chronicling his ascension to power. The four-night event is set to premiere Monday, June 12th through Thursday, June 15th, exclusively on Showtime.

Oscar-winning writer-director Oliver Stone conducts a revealing series of interviews with Vladimir Putin, the enigmatic Russian president who has never before spoken at length or in detail to a Western interviewer. Prodded by Stone over the course of two years, Putin confronts a host of critical topics in candid detail, including his long-term grip on power, his personal relationships with Clinton, Bush, Obama and Trump, Edward Snowden's asylum in Moscow, as well as allegations of election meddling and fostering turmoil in Syria.
