The Caped Crusader and the Queen of Arkham are teaming up for a new animated movie and a newly-released trailer provides a look at the unlikely duo in action.

Melissa Rauch, star of the hit sitcom "The Big Bang Theory," lends her voice to the Joker's sinister sidekick Harley Quinn, while veteran voice actor Kevin Conroy is once again Batman.

The direct-to-video cartoon movie follows Batman (Conroy) and Nightwing (Loren Lester) as they are forced to enlist the help of Harley Quinn (Rauch) when Quinn's former partner-in-crime Poison Ivy (Paget Brewster) and Floronic Man (Kevin Michael Richardson) set out to unleash a diabolical plan to transform humans into mutated green vegetation.

Directed by Sam Liu (Batman: The Killing Joke) and executive produced by Bruce Timm, "Batman and Harley Quinn" is slated for a summer release.

synopsis:
In Batman and Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Jason Woodrue (a.k.a. The Floronic Man) embark on an ecological quest to save the planet – and, unfortunately, eliminate most of humankind along the way. To save humanity, Batman and Nightwing are forced to enlist Harley Quinn to catch Poison Ivy, Harley’s BFF and frequent partner-in-crime. But Batman’s patience is put to the test by the unpredictable and untrustworthy Harley during the twists and turns the reluctant companions face during their bumpy road trip. The result is a thrill ride of action, adventure and comedy no Batman fan has seen before.
