HBO's Game of Thrones: Season 7 — Official Trailer

added: Wed, May 24th '17

"We don't put aside our enmities and bound together, we will die. And then it doesn't matter whose skeleton sits on the Iron Throne," warns Ser Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham) in the new official trailer for the much-anticipated Seventh Season of HBO's hit fantasy series "Game of Thrones."

And from the looks of things, the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros are all preparing for not only a great battle, but "the great war." But how would someone prepare themselves to fight off Daenerys Targaryen's (Emilia Clarke) fire-spitting dragons? Or Cersei Lannister's (Lena Headey) cold-blooded stubbornness? Or Jon Snow's (Kit Harington) undying bravery? Surely, Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish (Aidan Gillen) isn't a person you can rely on for unity or civility. There's a good chance Westeros will end up in a burning pile of bones and rubble by the time the white walkers get there.

Season 7, which sadly will only consist of 7 hour-long episodes, is the second-to-last season of the George R.R. Martin-created HBO series, which will be returning this summer, beginning Sunday, July 16th.

Summers span decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne has begun. It will stretch from the south, where heat breeds plots, lust and intrigues; to the vast and savage eastern lands; all the way to the frozen north, where an 800-foot wall of ice protects the kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men...all will play the 'Game of Thrones.'
