Is this the end of man as we know it? Well, Woody Harrelson may not know for sure, but he certainly knows he can't survive in a world ruled by apes.

Check out the final trailer for "War for the Planet of the Apes," the forthcoming third installment of the acclaimed science-fiction rebooted film series in which motion-capture master Andy Serkis stars as a genetically enhanced chimpanzee named Caesar.

In the previous two installments, we have watched Caesar go from an innocent young ape raised by a well-meaning scientist to growing up and becoming the reluctant leader of the new Ape nation. During this time, humanity has been hit with a deadly virus. The human population has dwindled to a staggeringly small number. But for those who survived the epidemic, they have united under the command of the Colonel (played by Harrelson), who vows to forcibly take back the planet and return the power to its rightful owners -- humans.

Filmmaker Matt Reeves (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) helms from a script that he co-wrote with screenwriter Mark Bomback (Godsend, Live Free or Die Hard). The movie will find Caesar going face-to-face with the Colonel in an epic battle that will determine who controls the planet.

"War for the Planet of the Apes" arrives in theaters on July 14th.
