The heavily publicized murder trial of Lyle and Erik Menendez is the subject of a new true-crime series that's hailing from famed executive producer Dick Wolf. (Cue clanging sound effect: dum-DUM!)

Check out the debut trailer for "Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders," a new NBC drama starring four-time Emmy-winner Edie Falco (The Sopranos, Nurse Jackie) as Leslie Abramson, the defense attorney who was hired by Erik and asserted that the reason the brothers murdered their millionaire father and mother (Jose and Mary "Kitty" Menendez) was because they were severely abusive parents.

Four-time Emmy-nominated director Lesli Linka Glatter (Homeland) helms the first two episodes of the eight-part series, which is currently slated to premiere this fall during NBC's Thursday-night slot.
