Lightning McQueen isn't as fast as he used to be. But what he lacks in speed, he more than makes up for in heart.
Check out the latest trailer for Disney-Pixar's upcoming threequel "Cars 3," which again focuses on the Owen Wilson-voiced race-car character, Lightning McQueen.
While on the verge of retiring after undergoing a near career-ending collision, McQueen launches a Rocky-like comeback against his number one rival, high-tech racer Jackson Storm (Lone Ranger's Armie Hammer), who, in a lot of ways, is like the Ivan Drago of cars. McQueen must now rely on his maneuvering skills as he receives help from a young, brilliant race technician named Cruz Ramirez (voiced by comedienne Cristela Alonzo) and an old school mechanic named Smokey (Chris Cooper).
The animated film, directed by former Pixar storyboard artist Brian Fee (it's his first directing gig), also features the voices of Larry the Cable Guy, Nathan Fillion, Kerry Washington, Margo Martindale, Cheech Marin, Bonnie Hunt and more.
"Cars 3" arrives in theaters on June 16th.
