"Justice has a new name." And moviegoers will soon find out who she is.
Check out a new extended commercial for the eagerly-awaited DC comic book movie "Wonder Woman," in which "Batman v Superman" star Gal Gadot reprises her role as the iconic Amazonian superheroine.
The 60-second preview, which recently aired during Monday night's broadcast of FOX's hit Batman prequel series "Gotham," offers a look at Gadot's Wonder Woman as she travels from her home island of Themyscira to "Jolly Old England." She's on a noble mission to restore peace to the world during the height of the Great War.
The film, which also features the acting talents of Star Trek's Chris Pine as WWI fighter pilot Steve Trevor (a character known in the comics for being Wonder Woman's main squeeze), is unraveling the origins of the world's most beloved and recognized female superhero for the first time on the big screen.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Patty Jenkins (Monster, TV's The Killing), "Wonder Woman" co-stars Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Lucy Davis, and Danny Huston. It arrives in theaters on June 2nd.
