Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is college bound! Everyone's favorite doomsday cult survivor-turned-New Yorker is returning next month, and she's out to pursue some higher education, and she's not going to let anyone stand in her way, not by a measly divorce nor a misuse of thumbs.

Check out the first official trailer for the third season of Netflix's hit comedy series "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt," starring Ellie Kemper as the happy-go-lucky Indiana fireball who, after living 15 years confined inside an underground bunker as a formally brainwashed cult member, escapes to New York City where she is determined to get her life back on track with the help of her new best friend/roommate (played by Emmy-nominated Tituss Burgess).

Created by Tina Fey and her "30 Rock" collaborator Robert Carlock, the new 13-episode series also sees the return of Jane Krakowski as wannabe Manhattan socialite Jacqueline Voorhees, and Carol Kane as Kimmy's nutty landlady Lillian Kaushtupper.

"Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Season 3" is set to premiere May 19th, exclusively on Netflix.

Ellie Kemper stars as Kimmy Schmidt, a woman who escapes from a doomsday cult and starts life over in New York. After living in a cult for fifteen years, Kimmy decides to reclaim her life and start over in New York City. Armed with just a backpack, light-up sneakers, and a couple of way-past-due library books, she’s ready to take on a world she didn’t even think existed anymore. Wide-eyed but resilient, nothing is going to stand in her way.
