The cast of the "Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2." recently made an appearance on the late-night talk show "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" where they revealed this action-packed clip from the highly-anticipated Marvel superhero sequel.

In it, burly assassin Drax (Dave Bautista) tries to take down a large tentacle alien monster by jumping inside its mouth. Yup. His plan is flawed as things do not go as well as he hoped. Which forces Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and a flying Rocket to come up with an on-the-spot solution. Watch as the Guardians practice their team-building skills in this humorous yet highly exhilarating scene.

Written and directed by James Gunn (who just signed on to do a third "Guardians" movie), the film hits theaters on May 5th.

Update: Marvel UK has also released a new clip featuring Peter Quill (Pratt) and Gamora (Zoe Saldana) dancing to the classic Sam Cooke song "Bring It On Home To Me."

Set to the backdrop of 'Awesome Mixtape 2,' Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team's adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill's true parentage.
