Go behind the scenes of "Free Fire," cult British director Ben Wheatley's new darkly-comic shootout thriller starring Armie Hammer, Cillian Murphy, Sharlto Copley, and Oscar-winner Brie Larson.
"I read a lot of FBI ballistic reports," Wheatley reveals in the above clip, which gives viewers a look at how he and his filmmaking team made the madcap thriller. "And it was surprising. I thought you fired a gun and it always hits what you're shooting at. It turns out, to shoot someone who's actually moving is quite a difficult task."
"Free Fire" takes place in late, 1970s Boston, but most of the action is set inside a large warehouse. Basically, a gun deal goes terribly wrong, and everyone involved finds themselves cornered as a fiery bullet-ridden deathmatch is ignited. The chances of someone getting out alive sink to zero as the gun battle heats up.
Co-starring Jack Reynor, Sam Riley, Michael Smiley, Babou Ceesay, and Noah Taylor, the film is opening this Friday in U.S. theaters.
