From the award-winning filmmakers behind "The Hurt Locker" and "Zero Dark Thirty" comes a new historical thriller that's set against the backdrop of the 1967 Detroit riots, which is regarded as one of the deadliest and costliest riots in American history.

Boasting a strong ensemble cast that includes the likes of John Boyega, Jason Mitchell, Will Poulter, Anthony Mackie, John Krasinski, Kaitlyn Dever, Hannah Murray, and Jack Reynor, "Detroit" hails from Oscar-winning director Kathryn Bigelow, Oscar-winning screenwriter Mark Boal, and three-time Oscar-nominated producer Megan Ellison.

Check out the debut trailer for the upcoming film, which is scheduled to arrive in theaters on August 4th -- just about a week after the 50th anniversary of the terrifying events (which began on July 23, 1967 and ended on July 27, 1967).
