Take a tour of "Transformers" director Michael Bay's home office where he's working hard at "protecting the cinematic experience." Bay goes on and explains the value of shooting a film in IMAX 3D in this behind-the-scenes featurette for the upcoming "Transformers: The Last Knight."

"We're the first movie to ever shoot IMAX 3D," Bay asserts in the above clip. "In fact, we're the only movie this summer that was shot in native 3D." Bay further offers his insight on how he and his team shot this type of state-of-the-art 3D, which required the usage of two gigantic cameras that had to be stacked on top of each other.

To filmed the movie in this scale and shoot in this particular technique was a costly decision as it added approximately 10-to-15 million dollars to the budget. But judging by Bay's enthusiasm, it was worth every penny. You can judge for yourself when "Transformers: The Last Knight" arrives in IMAX 3D theaters on June 23rd.
