Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist are taking an elevator down to an unknown floor of the "Midland Circle Financial" building in this cryptic 15-second teaser for Netflix's much-awaited superhero team-up series Marvel's "The Defenders."
The streaming company, who just released the "Iron Fist" series last month, completing the introductory Marvel stories of all its four street-level heroes based in New York, has announced that they are planning to release "The Defenders" on Friday, August 18th.
The above teaser, which is made to look like security camera footage, is our first glimpse of the four-member team in action -- well, maybe, inaction is a better way to described this particular scene.
The upcoming 8-part series, which is being showrun by "Daredevil" producers Marco Ramirez and Douglas Petrie, will have Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) joining forces as they try defend New York from a new powerful threat, a villain named Alexandra (played by Sigourney Weaver).
Quick note: the teaser also cites a browser location (http://184.108.40.206), which redirects users to a promotional website for "The New York Bulletin," which is a newspaper featured in the "Daredevil" series.
It will take an epic team of heroes to save New York City. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage come together as The Defenders.
