As a 3rd-degree black belt martial artist, Amy Johnston has established a thriving Hollywood career as a stunt performer who has worked on such movies as "Deadpool," "Suicide Squad" and "Iron Man 3." For her latest film, Johnston is not only getting a chance to show off her extraordinary fighting skills but her acting chops as well.

Check out the newly released trailer for the action thriller "Lady Bloodfight," in which Johnston stars as a disenchanted American traveler who finds herself wandering through the dark corners of Hong Kong where she ends up being pulled into the blood-splattered world of underground fighting.

Chris Nahon, the French action helmer of "Kiss of the Dragon" and "Blood: The Last Vampire," directs the film, which co-stars Muriel Hofmann, Jenny Wu, Kathy Wu and fitness competitor/martial artist Mayling Ng.

"Lady Bloodfight" will be released on May 5th.

synopsis:
Jane is a beautiful but troubled American girl backpacking her way through Hong Kong. When she successfully fends off three thugs trying to rob her, she draws the attention of Shu, a Wudang champion, who is impressed by her raw street-fighting abilities. Shu recruits Jane and trains her to fight in the vicious, all-female, underground martial arts tournament known as "The Kumite." After months of rigorous preparation, Jane is ready to face off against the deadliest female fighters in the world, including Ling, the apprentice of Shu's nemesis, Wai, a Shaolin master. Other nefarious forces also lie in the shadows, taking Jane on a journey through the gritty underworld of Hong Kong as she fights to be named the best female fighter in the world.
