Fox has released three television spots (update: there's now four spots) for director Ridley Scott's hotly awaited science-fiction horror movie "Alien: Covenant," which is the latest chapter in the Alien franchise, following the 2012 prequel "Prometheus."
Boasting an impressive ensemble cast led by Katherine Waterston (Fantastic Beasts), Danny McBride (This Is the End), Billy Crudup (20th Century Women), Demian Bichir (The Hateful Eight), Carmen Ejogo (Selma), and Michael Fassbender, who is reprising his "Prometheus" role as android David, as well as playing the newer robot model Walter, the film follows the crew of a colony ship, called Covenant, as they encounter a dangerous alien species while carrying on a revolutionary mission to colonized an uncharted planet.
Evoking the same suspenseful spirit of the original 1979 film, "Alien: Covenant" appears to be aiming for the jugular -- in more ways than one. The film is slated for a May 19th theatrical release.
