Can we all just get along? Well, if we're talking about the "Planet of the Apes" universe, the answer to that question is: Oh, hell no!
Woody Harrelson leads the human resistance against talking ape leader Caesar (again played by motion-capture maestro Andy Serkis) and his powerful simian army in a new trailer for the forthcoming "War for the Planet of the Apes," which sets the stage for the inevitable conflict between human soldiers and ape warriors.
Harrelson plays an ape-hating commando who simply goes by the name "Colonel." He's the film's main villain, who believes the only way to preserve the human race is to rid the world of apes, preferably the ones that can speak.
Matt Reeves, the director of "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" and who is currently attached to helm the next "Batman" movie, directs this third installment of the rebooted film series, which co-stars Steve Zahn, Amiah Miller, Karin Konoval, Judy Greer and Terry Notary.
"War for the Planet of the Apes" opens worldwide on July 14th.
