"Jurassic World" director Colin Trevorrow trades in dinosaurs for precocious children as he directs this family drama about a single suburban mother and her 12-year-old genius son.

In the newly-released trailer for the Trevorrow-directed film "The Book of Henry," Naomi Watts plays Susan, a working mother struggling to make ends meet while raising two young boys: the cleverly gifted Henry (played by Jaeden Lieberher, from "Midnight Special" and the upcoming "It"), and his younger brother, Peter (Jacob Tremblay, star of "Room").

While Susan works as a waitress at a local diner, her son Henry is secretly busy planning an intricate rescue to save his 12-year-old next-door neighbor, Christina (played by SIA dancer-turned-actress Maddie Ziegler), from the abusive behavior of her alcoholic step-father (Breaking Bad's Dean Norris).

Sarah Silverman, Lee Pace, and Bobby Moynihan co-star.

Written by acclaimed novelist and comic book writer Gregg Hurwitz, "The Book of Henry" is scheduled to hit theaters on June 16th.

synopsis:
Sometimes things are not always what they seem, especially in the small suburban town where the Carpenter family lives. Single suburban mother Susan (Naomi Watts) works as a waitress at a diner, alongside feisty friend Sheila (Sarah Silverman). Her younger son Peter (Jacob Tremblay) is a playful 8-year-old. Taking care of everyone and everything is Susan’s older son Henry (Jaeden Lieberher), age 11. Protector to his adoring younger brother and tireless supporter of his often self-doubting mother -- and, through investments, of the family -- Henry blazes through the days like a comet. Susan discovers that the family next door, which includes Henry’s kind classmate Christina (Maddie Ziegler), has a dangerous secret -- and that Henry has devised a surprising plan to help. As his brainstormed rescue plan for Christina takes shape in thrilling ways, Susan finds herself at the center of it.
